A trip to Universal Studios Hollywood is always exciting, even more so with their celebration of the Lunar New Year.
This Lunar New Year marks the year of the rat, which ThisFunktional was born on.
A beautiful arrangement of plum Wishing Trees located at the center of Universal plaza, in the middle of the theme park, grab the attention of visitors to the park.
The red lanterns around the plaza help complete the atmosphere.
Visitors are invited to write down their wishes for the year and pin it on one of the trees.
Kung Fu Panda’s Po and Tigress, joined by community cultural performers doing lion dances on select days, perform in this year’s “Kung Fu Panda” adventure.
The show, which is performed several times throughout the day, is a wonderful stage performance that is fun for the whole family.
Once the show is done, visitors can take photos with Po and Tigress who hangout beside the stage.
Across the Universal Plaza is the DreamWorks theater where a “KUNG FU PANDA ADVENTURE” can be seen.
The popular Mandarin-speaking Megatron is available at the entrance to the Universal Plaza for fans to interact with and take photos with.
For more photo ops, Hello Kitty and the Minions join the celebration in custom-designed Lunar Nee Year Attire.
Mr. Ping’s Noodle House returns with with delicious Chinese food to enjoy and a photo op with Mr. Ping as well.
More than just a photo op, Mr. Ping talks with guests to complete the fun experience.
Visitors can also learn how to draw Po from professionals, being able to keep their works of art as a souvenir.
Along with the Lunar New Year celebration, a full day of rides at Universal Studios Hollywood make for a full day of fun.
From “Transformers: The Ride-3D” to “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” there is rides for everyone to enjoy.
Spending time at the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a fans dream come true.
